Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? has crowned its sixth millionaire (seventh, if you include Major Charles Ingram).

Donald Fear, 57, became the first person in 14 years to scoop the top prize on the ITV quiz show on Friday night.

The history and politics teacher, who lives in Telford, correctly answered the final 15th question about the death of a famous pirate in 1718.

Host Jeremy Clarkson asked him: ”In 1718, which pirate died in battle off the coast of what is now North Carolina? A) Calico Jack, B) Blackbeard, C) Bartholomew Roberts or D) Captain Kidd.”

Donald correctly answered with Blackbeard, which earned him a cool £1 million.

In light of Donald’s win, we’re taking a look back at the seven contestants who previously pulled off the feat, and the questions that they got right to bag the top prize.
