Former Disney star Miley Cyrus has been causing quite a stir as of late. And now the twerking, tongue-brandishing singer has taken off all her clothes and hopped aboard a wrecking ball for her new music video. Why are we surprised?
The 20-year-old gets naked in the vid directed by infamous fashion photographer Terry Richardson. But why did Miles decide to get totes nekkid? Was it just to cause more controversy? Well, apparently not.
According to HollywoodLife Miley wanted to show off her "vulnerable" side.
This isn't Miley's first time working with Terry, who is known for his explicit, over-the-top photos and videos. The We Can't Stop singer shook her booty for him back in August but they decided to take things to the next level with this new video.
"Miley has shot with Terry a lot over the years so she's very comfortable with him and she trusts him," a source told the celeb gossip site.
"She chose him to direct her video because he's all about pushing boundaries and making a statement. That's what Miley's into right now.
"Miley loved the idea of going naked because it suits the song - she's showing her naked emotions. It's her vulnerable side and it's not something she shows very often, so having nudity made sense."
