More than 30 wild boars have been found dead on the banks of the Goussant estuary in Brittany over the past month. The cause of death is as yet unknown, although it has been suggested that the animals could have been poisoned by algae in the water. Local environmental campaigners have long warned against the danger posed by the so-called "killer" algae, which has been affecting the area for decades.
