Will Young Loses The Voice To Danny O'Donoghue.. And He's Not Happy About It

Axed Will: 'Life's A Bitch'

Pop Idol winner turned successful artist Will Young seemed like a shoe-in for the job of "coach" on The Voice.

Unfortunately it all went Pete Tong at the last minute because he was reportedly dumped in favour of... Danny O'Donoghue (singer with The Script).

And Will's not happy.

Yesterday the Beeb announced that Danny would be joining singing legend Sir Tom Jones, pop sensation Jessie J and Black Eyed Peas man Will.i.am on the judging panel, and BBC One boss Danny Cohen insists O'Donoghue will bring "freshness and surprise" to the show.

We don't know about freshness but the news certainly surprised Will, who tweeted, "Words escape me. Life is sometimes a bitch."

Following confirmation of the judging line-up, Young wrote, "The Voice came, The Voice went. They wanted to go more rock. Should have dusted off my leather jacket!"

With more than a hint of sarcasm, he went on, "I'm holding a seance with Hendrix. Hang on... I can turn this around people. I can turn this around," before adding, "Going out tonight with an appetite for destruction - guns and roses?"

Never mind Will... the way things are going there might be a job going on next year's X Factor, if you're interested.
