The Duke of Cambridge will launch a mental health website and online training project aimed at supporting wellbeing in the workplace.
William will launch the new initiatives when he attends the Workplace Wellbeing Conference in central London on Thursday.
Speaking on Wednesday at the forum for his Royal Foundation William highlighted a statistics which had come out of his Heads Together mental health campaign.
He said: “Only 2% of people at work go to HR (Human Resources) to talk about mental health – 2%.
“Work is one of the most stressful places that we go to every day, and the fact is people aren’t feeling like they can go to work and actually speak to those people who in theory know the system and know the environment you’re working in.
“We’ve got to really do something about mental health and the workplace as well.”
Developed and supported by Heads Together, the charity Mind, Unilever and other partner organisations, the website gives employees and managers the tools to create a healthy and supportive working environment.
During the event William will also take part in a roundtable discussion about the issues of mental health in the workplace with senior business leaders.
Paul Farmer, the chief executive of Mind, will discuss recent research conducted by the charity into the issue.
