A woman accused of murdering a 92-year-old war veteran was remanded in custody today by a Crown Court judge.
Charlotte Frazier-Doody, who was charged with the murder of William Davis last week, was not required to appear in person for a short preliminary hearing at Wolverhampton Crown Court.
The 35-year-old defendant, of Hobley Street, Willenhall, near Walsall, has yet to enter a plea to the murder of Mr Davis, who lived in the same street.
The pensioner, who served with the Royal Navy, was found collapsed at his home on Sunday April 1, having suffered severe head injuries.
Judge John Warner remanded Frazier-Doody in custody until a plea and case management hearing on June 29.
