A woman has been arrested on suspicion of a terrorism offence, police said.

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police counter terrorism command detained the 25-year-old woman when she attended an appointment at a central London police station on Tuesday.

She is being questioned on suspicion of the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism and remains in custody.

On September 10, officers arrested the woman on suspicion of making false representations in order to obtain a passport.
