As if Dubai wasn't a shopping haven already, the city has now announced plans to build a shopping four times the size of Westfield, complete with theme parks, a huge waterfall and over 100 hotels, all within a climate-controlled zone.
Taking the best bits of London culture, the 'Mall of the World' will feature a 7km stretch of shopping inspired by Oxford Street, a 'Broadway' district of theatres and even an area designated to 'medical tourists'.
The dome is expected to be 730,000 sq m, even larger than the Dubai Mall, which is currently the biggest shopping centre in the world at 500,000 sq m.
With 180 million visitors expected every year, the Metro reports the dome will also house 100 hotels with approximately 20,000 rooms.
Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has stated the mall is part of his plan to "transform Dubai into a cultural, tourist and economic hub for the two billion people living in the region around us - and we are determined to achieve our vision."
Vision he may have, but Maktoum has yet to reveal when the shopping centre will open or how much it will cost.
Many of the city's previous grand projects, such as the Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest tower, were temporarily stopped or altered due to the financial crisis.
With that said, if Dubai does come through with this project, we'll be the first ones packing our bags!
