The teenager wowed the judges and viewers at home with her rendition of The Beach Boys’ ‘God Only Knows’ as the final 13 acts took to the stage live for the first time.

Simon Cowell claimed he had witness the birth of a star following Louisa’s performance, with Cheryl Fernandez-Versini adding that she had bundles of star quality.

But it wasn’t just Louisa who impressed on the ITV talent show, as Monica Michael made a triumphant return this year’s wildcard act.

The contestant was brought back earlier this week, after originally failing to make it through to the live shows during the Judges Houses’ episodes.

The youth worker’s rendition of Ed Sheeran’s ‘Make It Rain’ had the panel on their feet.

Meanwhile, Mason Noise received a glowing set of comments from the judges, after he controversially earnt a place in the live finals last week.

Viewers were outraged when Nick Grimshaw put him through last week, having previously had a showdown with Simon during the Six Chair Challenge round of the competition.

But his performance of Justin Bieber's ‘Sorry’ made the panel forget all about his previous misgivings.

Rita Ora said: “I think people should stop talking about what you did now at Six Chair. Everyone makes a mistake. We all still love Kayne West."

Simon added: "Mason, I think we need to start again. I could not be happier seeing you back on the show. You lost it and I lost it, you came back as a man. I thought you were great and I hope the public get behind you."

One act will leave the competition tonight, when ‘The X Factor’ returns at 8pm on ITV.
