X Factor’ bosses have announced there will be a huge change to how the themes are decided on the live shows.

Instead of Simon Cowell and producers making the decision, it will now be placed in the hands of a mechanical jukebox that will pick it at random.

After each Sunday’s elimination, host Dermot O’Leary will be joined by a special guest who will spin the jukebox wheel to reveal the following week’s theme to viewers and the contestants.

Themes up for grabs include Oscars, Boy Band vs Girl Band, Disco, Motown, ‘80s and Divas.

But there’s one potential theme that has got us very excited, one theme is titled ‘Louis Loves: The Louis Walsh Collection’.

This week’s theme is ‘Express Yourself’ where each of the 12 contestants will perform a song that showcases who they are as artists in the hope of sealing their place in the competition for another week.

It has already been revealed what some of the contestants will be singing, with Emily Middlemas performing Britney Spears’ ‘Toxic’ and Ryan Lawrie taking on One Direction’s ‘Perfect’.

The Brooks Brothers will cover DNCE’s ‘Cake By The Ocean’, while Saara Alto is giving herself a huge task, in taking on ‘Let It Go’ from ‘Frozen’.

The current series hasn’t been without its controversies so far, with viewers slamming the judges for giving “novelty acts” Honey G and Bradley & Ottavio a place in the love shows last weekend.

‘X Factor’ airs on Saturday and Sunday 8pm on ITV.
