Louis Walsh Reignites Cheryl Fernandez-Versini Feud

Either we’ve accidentally gone back in time to 2014, or Louis Walsh is in need of some attention.

Louis Walsh has laid out some strict rules, in case Simon Cowell wants him back for this year’s ‘X Factor’, after being unceremoniously booted off the panel last year.

The former judge has admitted that he’s keen to come back, but only if Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Rita Ora were ditched.

Speaking about the most recent series of ‘X Factor’, which was largely slated by viewers and lost out in the ratings battle to ‘Countryfile’ on more than one occasion, Louis told Closer magazine: “Simon's already said he wishes he hadn't let me go.

“He wanted to bring me back in the middle of the last series, but I thought it'd be odd with five judges. I wouldn't go back unless it was the right people.

“Simon tweaked [the show] too much - like his face. He needs to bring back the old X Factor and have the auditions in a small room. People loved that, it was intimate and revealing.”

Louis’ idea of “the right people” means swapping out Cheryl and Rita for Nicole Scherzinger and Sharon Osbourne, and he went on to resume his feud with the ‘Fight For This Love’ singer, admitting he didn’t think she was brought much to the table.

He continued: “She's lost a bit of energy. She should go away, make a record and maybe have another hit.”

Following Nick Grimshaw’s departure from the panel, just one year after being appointed as Louis’ replacement, attention now turns to who’ll get his seat, with Louis Tomlinson also reportedly in the running, after helping Simon at judges’ houses last year.

Meanwhile, Dermot O’Leary has been heavily rumoured to be returning to host this series, with Olly Murs and Caroline Flack both choosing to step down from their presenting roles.
