The Miss Great Britain organisation has accused ‘Love Island’ contestant Zara Holland of violating another of their rules, by posing nude without telling them.
Zara was controversially dethroned of her Miss GB title last week, after sharing an intimate moment with her fellow ‘Love Island’ contestant Alex Bowen.
While many have criticised the organisation’s decision to strip Zara of her title, with a petition in favour of reinstating her accruing thousands of signatures, they have now told Digital Spy that she broke another of their rules by posing naked.
A spokesperson told the website: “We had two contracts in place with Zara - the initial one is called the finalists agreement which each of the 50 finalists sign prior to taking part in the final.
Zara recently discussed the backlash in an interview on ‘Lorraine’, admitting that her frisson in the ‘Love Island’ hideaway was the “biggest mistake of her life”.
She explained: “Being Miss Great Britain is the biggest thing that ever happened to me and losing it is awful, I actually can’t put it into words.
“I worked so hard to be there and everyone supported me and in the last three years I’ve raised over £20,000 for various charities.
“When I was awarded the Miss Great Britain title I was so proud to represent my country and be a role model and show people that if you want to do something you can do it, if you put that 110% effort into it, go for it because you can achieve it and I achieved that, and then from one single mistake…”
Zara broke her silence on the matter earlier this week, admitting that she didn’t think she’d done anything wrong by having sex on television.
