Fresh from Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris' shock split, Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid have reportedly called it quits.
According to E! News, the pair have called time on their relationship after seven months together.
However, there is hope for the couple, as friends claim they could reconcile, having broken up due to communication issues.
A source told the US news outlet: "Zayn and Gigi did break up, but they can likely get back together tomorrow. It's all very unclear what's going on between them now.
Another insider added: "Gigi is really sad about this, though, and in a way would like to work it out.
The pair got together last year, shortly after Gigi split from then-boyfriend Joe Jonas, and Zayn ended his engagement to Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards.
She famously appeared in his raunchy video for debut solo single 'Pillowtalk', while they also staged a loved-up photoshoot for Vogue magazine in April.
Zayn and Gigi were last pictured together following their romantic display on the red carpet of last month's Met Ball.
The former One Direction singer previously admitted he was keen to keep their relationship out of the public eye, following his high-profile romance with Perrie.
He told Complex magazine: "I try to keep the two very separate. I try to, as much as I can. But there’s only so much you can do.
