Borussia Dortmund are on the brink of the Champions League quarter-finals following an entertaining 4-2 win at Zenit St Petersburg.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Marco Reus put Jürgen Klopp's men 2-0 up at the pause, and Robert Lewandowski netted a double after the break to cancel out Oleg Shatov and Hulk's deficit reducers.
Zenit, managed by former Roma coach Luciano Spalletti, must score at least three times in the return leg at the Westfalenstadion on 19 March.
The Russian club qualified for the knockout stage despite scoring just five times and taking six points from their six games.
