Before joining youth charity The Prince’s Trust as Director of Operations, Alan Kennedy had gained vast experience in operational roles within the hospitality and retail sectors.

Having started in the hotel industry with Trusthouse Forte and Granada, Alan went on to join Whitbread PLC where he was responsible for the management and development of several brands, including Beefeater and David Lloyd. He led regional teams of 700 people.

He moved on to become Operations Director at Punch Taverns and, subsequently, a board director for Route Organisation, a business services provider in the leisure industry. In his most recent role as Director of Operations at Companion Care Ltd, Alan was responsible for running and growing an innovative and complex veterinary practice network based in Pets at Home stores across the country.

Alan was born in Glasgow and moved to England 24 years ago. He is married and has three children, aged from 7 years of age through to 13 years of age.
