He helped create the BinTheBedroomTax initiative, which is a loose coalition between the STUC, Scottish Tenants Organisation, West of Scotland Forum of Housing Association and other grassroots campaigns.
He has an Ambassador for the Labour for Independence Campaign and firmly believes that independence is the fastest route for Scotland to have a fairer and more equal society.
He is passionately pro-democracy and believes that austerity is a failed economic theory which attacks the many for the mistakes of the few.
