Alice is the 5th of 15 children. She has been a teacher for 22 years and still loves all that the students bring. Alice started her blog www.halfwavinghalfdrowning.com in 2016 a few years after her husband's devastating stroke aged 38, their subsequent divorce and the heart-ache of her new partner asking her to leave. The blog has had an amazing start and is beginning to feel like a community of adults who have survived the storms of the middle years - it's definitely making Alice feel rather damn good again.
