Alvin Carpio

Board member of the UpRising Leadership Programme

Alvin Carpio is Chair of Young Fabians' Policy Commission on Youth Unemployment. He is also a board member of the UpRising Leadership Programme which equips young people from diverse backgrounds with the knowledge, networks, skills, and confidence to transform their communities across Britain. As a community organiser for London Citizens, he led the Citizens’ Inquiry into the Tottenham Riots. He also did research on social policy for the think-tank Demos, and ran soup kitchens and a welfare drop-in service. He recently completed his MSc in Social Policy at the LSE and now works for Catch22 and the Transition to Adulthood (T2A) Alliance.
