Ben Stevenson

Ben Stevenson oversees the day-to-day operational management of uCheck, one of the UK's leading DBS check providers.

The company currently carry out 300,000 checks a year and are part of MG Care Executive Limited, one of the oldest and largest registered umbrella bodies for CRB/DBS checks.

They are accredited by Cyber Essentials, a Living Wage employer, ISO 27001 certified and are working towards ISO 9001 in 2017.

Ben, the company's Operations Manager, reports directly to the board of directors, while overseeing the customer support team and ensuring the business is working at an operational standard.

They have an extensive range of thousands of organisations who frequently use their services, such as healthcare professionals, care industry and recruitment companies.

uCheck offer a variety of background checks to both customers and employers, including DBS, right to work, DVLA and adverse credit checks. They currently provide vetting and screening to over 10,000 employers in the UK.

Customers can request some checks within as little as five minutes and most employer checks can be completed within 48 hours, with the record being 90 minutes.

Ben previously volunteered as a special police officer where he grew up in Cornwall. He began his management career in 2008 and has worked in senior management positions for a high-street fashion retailer as well as an international supermarket chain.

He has a passion for interior design and in his spare time he enjoys learning about 16th-19th century history.
