A graduate of the University of Wales in Aberystwyth, Brendan joined
Sage in 2003 and worked as Managing Director for three different divisions of the business before being promoted to CEO for UK & Ireland in January 2011.
Under his leadership, the business has continued to go from strength-to-strength and today supports the operations of more than 830,000 firms in the UK.
Sage is the only UK software business in the FTSE 100, and is still headquartered in Newcastle where it was founded by NASA scientist and Newcastle University lecturer and local entrepreneur David Goldman. Sage’s products and services are used by 6.2 million companies around the world, principally small to medium-sized enterprises, across 100 countries. In the UK, 1 in 4 people are paid their salary through Sage every month.
