Brian Smithers

Brian Smithers’ career commenced with 5 years in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, followed by 13 years with the Wolseley Group, the largest distributor of building materials in the construction industry. This background laid the foundations of a career within the electrical industry, and in 2004 assumed the role of managing director for WF Electrical, a trading division of the Rexel Group, the world’s number one distributor of electrical supplies.

Over a 5 year period, he has overseen the metamorphosis of the business from a successful distributor into a leading solution-provider, development of new markets, and more latterly, total energy solutions. In 2011 he was appointed business development director for Rexel UK & Ireland.
