Camila Batmanghelidjh

Camila Batmanghelidjh is the founder and chief executive of Kids Company, a charity that provides emotional, educational and practical support to vulnerable inner city children.

Camila has been a psychotherapist for more than 20 years. In her late twenties she founded the charity The Place 2 Be and in 1996 Kids Company was founded in some railway arches. Immediately, some 200 children self-referred from street gangs. Nearly 14 years later, the organisation cares for 14,500 children.
