Carin Van Der Hor

Dutch national Carin van der Hor joined Plan as the Philippine Office’s new Country Director in November 2011. She brings with her a wealth of experience as a former Country Representative of the World Population Foundation in Hanoi, Vietnam, as a former General Manager of the PAL-Nepal Project of the Institute of Medical Technology Assessment of the Rotterdam University based in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Before to working in developing countries, Carin held senior management positions in the governmental and health sectors. She is also a management trainer and has worked as an organisational advisor in the Netherlands.

Carin has a bachelor of law and bachelor in social sciences from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. She completed her master in social sciences, specialising in educational, organisational and cultural sociology at the same university.
