Charlotte Cave

Hair stylist and make-up artist to the stars

Hair stylist to the stars, Charlotte Cave is a woman on a mission. Her aim is to get men and women to dump the clutter, to take control of their style... and ultimately enjoy their lives. In 2010 after over a decade in the music business working with the likes of Coldplay and U2, Charlotte opened her own eponymous salon in Clapham Common (Tatler Top Ten Coolest Salon/Top Ten Boutique Salon) where she has nurtured and developed a new generation of talent across hair, make –up and beauty, quietly establishing the salon as one of the go-to places for London industry insiders.

Charlotte's in-depth knowledge (and straight-talking) comes from a prestigious career spanning over twenty years. From the heart of the music bizz to her move over into fashion, Charlotte has certainly earned her stripes. From cutting Coldplay’s hair on the side of the stage at V Festival, Charlotte can now add the likes of Suki Waterhouse, Lady Gaga, Michelle Dockery, Freida Pinto and Alice Dellal as well as magazines such as Glamour, Vogue and Instyle to her incredible CV.

Charlotte’s own phonebook reads like a who’s who of the celebrity world having worked with everyone from Rod Stewart, Kiefer Sutherland and Amy Winehouse to Bono and even Hollywood legends such as Daniel Craig and Kevin Spacey. Jeff Goldblum regularly seek out Charlotte and her “magic scissors” whenever he is in London.

Since Charlotte set up her unisex salon in 2010 where she is focusing on establishing good industry standards for hairdressing , working hard to create something that will have a positive effect on the hair and beauty industry as a whole. Charlotte is also concentrating on the explosion in male grooming.

Despite the success of the salon, which is firmly established as the coolest salon in south London, location work is in her blood. Charlotte still shoots around the world with like the likes of Telegraph, Glamour and Instyle and stylists such as Claire Richardson and Natalie Hartley, as well as photographers such as Patrick Demarchelier, Jurgen Teller and Tim Richmond. Charlotte is also working with major fashion houses such as Anya Hindmarch as well as major British high street brands, and is a key brand ambassador for Sisley whose full range she stocks in her salon.

Charlotte’s new online videos will launch soon revealing her Power of Ten: Less is More philosophy.
