Clare Pennington

Clare is the Art Editor and a Web Editor at Time Out Beijing. After studying Chinese language, history and philosophy at Oxford for four years, she moved to rural Sichuan province in 2010. From there she made her way up to Beijing.
Her work as a journalist and researcher has appeared in international and UK newspapers including the Times of London.

When she is not spending time at artist's studios or at galleries, Clare likes to spend time discovering the local music scene and reading about politics, the environment and other social issues. As well as Chinese, Clare speaks Spanish and Japanese, and may remember how to order a packet of stamps in French.
