I work as a private therapist alongside my husband, with people experiencing a range of issues including stress, anxiety and low mood. I have a background of working with people experiencing domestic abuse. I also worked in a drug and alcohol service for many years as a treatment and harm reduction worker prior to managing treatment and family services. I am a granny. I have 3 grown up daughters, one of which has learning difficulties, visual impairment and various health problems. Working in my own practice enables me to meet her needs and have a healthier work / life balance. Writing is therapeutic for me. I currently write a blog and a monthly emotional wellbeing column for a local newspaper. I am constantly striving to learn about myself and improve my own emotional wellbeing.
