Darren is a producer, director and co-founder of London production companies VR City and East City Films. After studying film making at university, Darren started his professional career at MTV. Over the last 15 years he has gone on to produce everything from music videos, multi-camera OB’s, to documentaries filmed in Serbia, India, Myanmar and Nigeria.
Darren is the producer and director of the VR documentaries “Witness 360: 7/7” and “Invisible”, the latter winning the first ever VR commission at Sheffield Doc/Fest in 2016. These films continue to be recognized at international film festivals such as Cannes du Marche, IDFA, Docville and MIFF. He has also been invited to speak at VR labs and panels at the BBC, CPH:DOX, IDFA Doc Lab, BFI Future Film Fund, i-docs, One World Humanitarian Film Festival, EDEF and Cannes.
