Daryl Glaser

Daryl Glaser is Associate Professor of Politics. In recent years he has done most of his research and writing in the areas of democratic theory, analytic political philosophy and the history of radical political thought, with both South African and non-South African case studies/topics. In the past, he has also done work on the South African political economy, a line of interest culminating in his publication of Politics and Society in South Africa (Sage, 2001). He co-edited Twentieth Century Marxism: A Global Introduction (Routledge, 2007) and edited Mbeki and After The Legacy of Thabo Mbeki (Wits University Press, 2010). Professor Glaser has published chapters in many books and articles in journals including African Affairs, Ethnic and Racial Studies, Ethnicities, Global Society, International Journal of Applied Philosophy, Journal of Global Ethics, Journal of Southern African Studies, Political Studies, Politics and Society, Politikon, Review of African Political Economy, South African Journal on Human Rights, Theoria, Transformation and Review of International Studies.
