David C. M. Carter (DCMC) is widely regarded as one of the world’s leading CEO mentors.
David CM Carter, widely regarded as one of the world’s leading CEO mentors, is the Founder and Executive Chairman of MyMentor, the on-demand destination channel for leader insight and crowd-sourced advice on how to get ahead. Moving from mentoring an exclusive list of just 10 clients at any one time, David is creating a virtual space for people actively interested in growing personally and professionally, to discover and be discovered.
During his twenties, David spent ten years in investment banking and private equity (living abroad in the USA, UK, Europe, Middle and Far East) where he learned a lot about how to do business in many key cultures around the world – as well as being involved in many business verticals. In his thirties he transitioned from advisor/consultant to being an entrepreneur in the UK leisure sector, including two start- ups, the first of which was sold, and the second launched on the AIM stock market. David spent the next 14 years building and leading, as Founder, CEO and Chairman, Merryck & Co., which eventually became the world’s leading CEO Business Mentoring Company.
In 2010, he exited — and launched himself as THE MENTOR — using the techniques in his first book BREAKTHROUGH. DCMC has enjoyed the highest of personal and business successes — as well as survived a few failures and near disasters, each time making a comeback as a ‘better version of himself’. He enjoys recounting the tales of his adventures and sharing the lessons he’s learned and the wisdom he’s gained.
Amongst David’s clients there’s a small number of MAD (Make A Difference) social enterprise leaders, who run businesses that impact millions from entrepreneurs (E2E Exchange) to Community Outreach (GoodPeople) and whom David mentors pro-bono.
MyMentor is David’s mentoring legacy project – where he wants to make help everyone ‘get ahead’ in life and make a positive difference to millions.
