David M Abrahamson

Dr David Abrahamson has been working in Trinity College Dublin since 1972. Over the past 16 years, in addition to his regular teaching duties as a Senior Lecturer, he has held a number of administrative posts: Senior Tutor (1995-2001); Head of Department (2002-2005); and Head of School (2005-2011). He spent the 1980/81 academic year as a Visiting Professor at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in upstate New York, followed by three months working as a Visiting Scientist at the Technion in Haifa. Since his term of office as Head of School ended in July, he has found time to start writing about Israel—a country which he feels deserves a more open and honest hearing by the world's news media.
