When Desmond Payne created Beefeater 24 in 2008 it was as the world’s most experienced Master Gin Distiller. With Beefeater 24 he selected 12 natural botanicals, including fine Japanese Sencha and Chinese teas and hand prepared Seville orange and grapefruit peel and uniquely steeped them for 24 hours before infusing the unique and secret recipe that is Beefeater London Dry Gin – first conceived in 1864.
Desmond Payne created the new Beefeater 24 Gin & Tea cocktail to complement a new, limited edition gift box: The Beefeater 24 ‘Quintessentially British Edition’. The ‘pop art’ box is an evocative and glamorous ode to ‘Distinguished British Country Chic’, with garden party imagery designed by the illustrator Glenn Hin, whose hand-drawn images won an art competition held by Beefeater 24.
