Diarmaid Mulholland

President and Regional CEO Western Europe GE Energy

Diarmaid Mulholland was appointed President and Regional CEO for GE Energy in Western Europe in January 2012. In this role, he leads GE’s energy business, where he has responsibility for growing the business across the region.

Mulholland has been at GE for almost two decades, where his most recent role was leading GE Energy’s global Wind Services business, developing and growing GE’s service franchise in the renewable energy space. Prior to that he was Regional General Manager, Western Europe, for Energy Services, with responsibility for client strategies, cultivating new business opportunities, and growth. Within that business, he also worked as Operations Manager, where he focused on services for GE’s advanced technology heavy duty gas turbines.

Mulholland joined GE in 1993 as a member of GE Energy’s field engineering program. His career has included a variety of technical and commercial roles in the United States, Europe and Asia.

He holds a B.Eng. Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Limerick in Ireland. He also chairs GE Energy’s European Executive Council.
