Dr Beth Healey

Research Doctor, European Space Agency

Beth is a qualified medical doctor who works as a researcher for the European Space Agency. Her specialty is health in extreme environments, preparing humans for space travel and interplanetary colonization. As part of this, she spent a year (from September 2014 to September 2015) at the European Space Agency’s Concordia base in Antarctica, also known as ‘White Mars’.

She has a BSc in Physiology and Mb Chb in Medicine from the University of Bristol, in the UK. She is also a fellow of the National Geographical Society and is currently based in Chamonix, France.
