Dr Zahid Iqbal is the newly elected President of the Advisory Council of Minhaj-ul-Qur'an International, UK. Based in London, he has been active for many years at the grass roots in the spiritual and religious education of young Muslims. His main interest lies in tackling radicalisation of Muslims in the West and interfaith relations. Notable projects include involvement in the publication and promotion in 2010 of the Fatwa Against Terrorism & Suicide Bombings by Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, and the Peace for Humanity Conference at the Wembley Arena in 2011.
