Consultant with Bell Pottinger Public Advocacy
Eleanor Kelly is a consultant with Bell Pottinger Public Advocacy. Her work is based on the ‘soft power’ of communications and its use in transforming conflict, fostering civil society and advancing narratives that challenge violent extremism. Bell Pottinger Public Advocacy’s experience extends to countries and conflict zones such as Bosnia, Kosovo, Iraq, Northern Ireland, Pakistan and Somalia.
Eleanor has focussed in particular on diaspora communities in the UK and the evolving identity of second and third generation immigrants.
Before joining Public Advocacy, Eleanor completed an MPhil in International Relations from Cambridge University. There her academic focus was on concepts of identity in Britain and Ireland and their impact on conflict resolution on those isles. Eleanor has a degree from Trinity College Dublin in French and History. Her research focus there was the commemoration of Irish soldiers who fought in World War One. Eleanor has also worked as a researcher in the House of Commons Library.
