Following a Masters about the Internet in 1999 Emmett joined Credit Suisse to work on technology IPOs. In 2008 he left Credit Suisse to do a startup that did not succeed - Emmett calls this his real world startup MBA. In 2010 he returned to Wall Street, working for Morgan Stanley in London. In April 2012 a hedge fund manager gave Emmett the inspiration to start Eagle Alpha, the company that curates the web for Wall Street.
