Gavin is a Canadian from Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is also where he completed his undergraduate studies. He then crossed the pond to take up a place in the MSc International Relations programme at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Gavin has worked as a tour guide in the Parliament of Canada and at Rideau Hall, and as an intern in a British MP’s Westminster office. He also debated competitively for many years, and mentored for Debate Mate in a Lambeth primary school. His blog focuses on Canadian politics.
