George Chikondi  Lwanda is a regional programme adviser on extractive industries at the UNDP Africa regional centre. He is also an alumnus of the Mo Ibrahim Governance and Development residential school, The Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative (OPHI) residential school on multi-dimensional poverty and is also a former South Africa Institute of International Affairs Eskom-Barrat fellow.
