Gergely Polner

Gergely travelled and worked around the world from the Caribbean to Bosnia and Herzegovina. Having returned to his native Hungary in 2000, he studied law, joined the bar and worked as a trial lawyer in Budapest before joining the European Parliament in 2005 and has been a "eurocrat" ever since. In his first posting at the Visits and Seminars Unit, he assisted the work of Hungarian, British and German members and developed simulation games.
In 2010 he was transferred to the London as Head of Outreach for the United Kingdom. He has returned briefly to Brussels in October 2010 to act as spokesperson for the Hungarian Presidency of the Council of the EU. In July 2011, he returned to the London office, where he is currently Head of Public Affairs.
