Harry Shapiro

Harry Shapiro is Director of DrugWise – an online drug information service. He has worked in the drugs field for over 35 years: more recently as Director of Communications for DrugScope until the charity folded in 2015. He has written extensively on all aspects of drugs and drug-related issues combining this with lecturing, public speaking and regular media appearances. He is the author of Waiting for the Man: the story of drugs and popular music and Shooting Stars: drugs, Hollywood and the Movies. Harry Shapiro is also a music biographer and journalist whose books include the best selling Hendrix biography Electric Gypsy.
