Neuroscientist/broadcaster making brain research accessible+fascinating

Jack Lewis (Ph.D.) has spent a lifetime trying to understand what science and psychology tell us about how the brain does what it does. He's on the constant look out for clues on how to help our brains work better.

The brain constantly changes throughout life. It adapts to help you function better in your environment by selectively reinforcing regularly used brain networks involved in the mental functions you use on a regular basis. Your brain actively creates everything you see, hear, taste, feel, think, believe, remember, love and hate; this is one thing you share with all other humans.

Jack passionately believes that the latest breakthroughs in neuroscience should be made accessible, fascinating and invaluable to all. He feels this can be achieved, quite simply, by cutting out much of the scientific terminology and speaking in plain english, focusing on insights that are relevant to everyday people and emphasising how they can be applied in real life.

Dr Jack has presented and contributed his brain knowledge to a wide variety of shows on BBC1, BBC2, ITV1, Ch4, Ch5, SkyOne, SkyTwo, SkyThree, National Geographic Channel, Teacher's TV and Discovery Science. Currently he presents "The Tech Show" on Discovery Science airing across Europe, Africa and Middle East, showcasing the latest breakthroughs in science, technology, robotics and engineering and he has a monthly slot on ITV1's flagship live magazine show "This Morning".
