Managing Director, Higher Education UK and Europe, Study Group
After graduating from Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge, with a BA and MA in Natural Sciences, James Pitman spent eight years at Pitman Publishing (owned by Pearson) in various sales and marketing roles, before becoming UK Sales Director. He then secured an MBA from IMD in Switzerland before returning and commencing work at Warner Music. During the 1990s he worked for Warner Music International and EMI in various roles, including, Commercial Manager, International Marketing Director, Vice President of International Marketing, and Vice President of Operations and Business Development, during which period he managed the marketing of the world famous The Three Tenors for their concert at the USA FIFA World Cup in 1994. Prior to joining Study Group in February 2007, James was Managing Director of the EMEA businesses of Rosetta Stone, a market leading, global e-learning software provider. James Pitman is currently Study Group Managing Director, HE - UK and Europe.
