James Wannerton

James Wannerton was born in Manchester, England and presently lives in Stuttgart, Germany.

He is the President of the UK Synaesthesia Association and has a rare type of synaesthesia which means he can taste sound.

James was one of the first individuals to have his synaesthetic experiences studied, documented and published by researchers at The University of Edinburgh, UCL and the University of Sussex and he’s been actively involved in synaesthesia research for the last 20 years.

As President of the UKSA James is committed to raising awareness of synaesthesia and actively encourages other synaesthetes to speak about their unique and fascinating experiences.
