Jim Gore AIWS

http://www.wsetglobal.com/Jim Gore AIWS is a Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) certified wine educator with 11 years’ experience in the drinks industry. He holds the WSET’s top qualification – the Level 4 Diploma in Wines and Spirits.

After four years of studying microbiology, Jim decided to switch the lab coat for the wine glass. During his career he has worked in Edinburgh, London and Burgundy in both retail and educational roles. Jim now finds himself in a pivotal role as a Programme Manager and Tutor at the WSET’s flagship Wine & Spirit School in Bermondsey Street, London Bridge.

Although now London-based, Jim is often seen hosting wine tastings on behalf of the WSET at events around the UK. He is responsible for the updating of the WSET School’s Level 2 course programme and is currently working on a number of projects including adapting the WSET’s courses for the visually impaired. He has a strong passion for all things food and wine related and takes a light-hearted, entertaining yet precise approach to communicating this passion to others. Whilst working in Burgundy, Jim was shortlisted for 2010 Young Wine Writer of the Year.
