Kate McCann is the mother of Madeleine McCann who disappeared in Portugal on 3 May 2007.
In 2013, Kate became an ambassador for the charity Missing People, with a particular dedication to highlighting the charity’s Child Rescue Alert system which it runs in partnership with Groupcall, the CEOP command of the National Crime Agency and is made possible by players of People’s Postcode Lottery. In the past year, more than 250,000 people have signed up to receive free Child Rescue Alerts which offers vital, rapid public outreach in the case of missing children.
