Kurt Mills is Professor of International Relations and Human Rights at the University of Dundee. He researches and teaches global governance, human rights, humanitarianism, humanitarian intervention, and international criminal justice, with a focus on sub-Saharan Africa. He is the author of numerous articles and two books: Human Rights in The Emerging Global Order: A New Sovereignty?, and, most recently, International Responses to Mass Atrocities in Africa: Responsibility to Protect, Prosecute and Palliate. He is currently Vice-Chair of the Academic Council on the United Nations System.
