Laura Ashton

Writer, mother and campaigner

Since the age of 16 I have called myself a feminist and when I heard about the No More Page 3 campaign I was keen to be apart of it. I have two daughters and I feel increasingly concerned about the pressures that are put on girls to look and behave in a certain way. Memories of being a pretty miserable teenager spur me on as I hope my daughters have more positive attitudes to their bodies when they begin to grow into women. Hopefully Page 3 will be long gone by then and people will be looking back on it in disbelief that we, as a society, let it continue for as long as it did.
