Research Officer for the Public Policy Institute for Wales

As Research Officer for the Public Policy Institute for Wales I manage bespoke assignments for Welsh Government Ministers and provide research support to the Director and Deputy Director. My work includes scoping assignments and assessing available evidence; commissioning, managing and editing the work of experts; writing Ministerial briefing notes and evidence reviews; helping to run workshops and attending meetings with Ministers and senior officials. I hold a BA in Politics, Psychology & Sociology and an MPhil in Social & Developmental both from the University of Cambridge.

The Public Policy Institute for Wales is an innovative initiative designed to improve the flow of evidence from independent experts to policy makers. We were launched in January 2014 by the First Minister for Wales as an independent body to promote better outcomes for people in Wales. We achieve this by drawing on existing knowledge and expertise to assess the state and scope of evidence related to policy issues and to ensure good quality, relevant and timely research is accessible and available to policy decision makers.
