Social Entrepreneur and Peace Ambassador

Lindiwe is a passionate member of the South African Women in Dialogue (SAWID)’s Young Women’s Desk, whose primary mission is to drive young women’s representation on all platforms in South Africa where decisions are made that impact on their lives, a recipient of the United Nations Young Women Leadership Development Programme which is supported by ILO, UN Women and UNFPA to ensure young women’s leadership and gender equality through advocacy work and mainstreaming, serves in the SADC Gender Protocol Alliance and Peace Ambassador of the International Women’s Peace Group in South Africa. A graduate in Provincial and Local Government Law with the University of South Africa (UNISA), trained in Gender Studies at the ILO International Training Centre, with eight years work experience in organisational administration which includes experience on skills development facilitation in the private sectors, government, NGO’s and IGO’s. She reads at least one book a year and enjoys thorough research on various subjects especially biographies and on women’s empowerment.
