Lorna Hayward

So this is me, Lorna. Known by those closest to me as ‘Lorn’ (original). I was born in Kent, raised in Oxfordshire (Henley on Thames) and I now reside in South West London. And now, apparently a blogger.

I found the most stubborn, weird and wonderful man in a pub in Brixton, 2009. He asked me to marry him at the top of the stone circle at Glastonbury 2011, after I’d just had some laughing gas. It was magical. The proposal, not the laughing gas (though that was quite special too). We got hitched in 2012 and it was literally the best weekend of my life. I did ‘the Caterpillar’ in my wedding dress on the dance floor.

We have two equally stubborn yet wonderful girls – Elsie (3) and Marnie (1). They are the reason I have decided to start this blog and they have made me want to try and be a better, more calmer version myself, whilst I try to unravel the wonder that is my mind. YIKES!

I am a social media addict (namely Instagram, where I like to while away the few precious hours I do have to myself scrolling through feeds of random people, comparing my life to theirs). I’m a reluctantly tamed social butterfly (hopefully temporarily until babysitting becomes less bank-breaking) trying – and more often than not -failing, to do it all perfectly. But I’m gradually accepting that perfect is rarely possible, and that that’s OK.

I love a bit of interior design, all things fashwan, am very partial to anything with a splash of leopard print and I am forever in the pursuit of the perfect natural balayage blonde.
